The European Youth Parliament-France is a citizenship education association run by and for young people. Organized as a network, they offer a variety of activities that allow 15-25 year olds to experience active citizenship through meetings, expression and debate, while also opening themselves up to Europe through intercultural exchanges.

A long-standing activity of the association, the PEJ-France parliamentary simulation sessions bring together delegations of high school students for several days of sharing and democratic debate around a current European issue. In an inclusive atmosphere, participants, guided by debate facilitators, gradually discover different topics and their implications, share their viewpoints, and collaboratively brainstorm solutions through exchange and sharing.

Before each session, the debate facilitators, called “chairs,” write Topic Overviews for participants to provide a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the debate topic.
