This episode on PulseZ’s podcast, we talk to Theodor Himmel, chairman of the student-led EPIS Think Tank, to talk about what think tanks really do, how young people bring fresh energy into policy debates, and how a group of students grew into one of Europe’s largest youth-driven think tanks on foreign affairs and security. From navigating hot topics to gaining credibility through peer review, conferences, and professionalism, we explore what actually goes into the work and what are the current challenges of think tanks in Europe.

Theodor Himmel connects students with experts in diplomatic and economic affairs. Together with his colleagues, he built EPIS Think Tank into one of the largest student-led think tanks in Europe and also initiated the EPIS Network. He currently serves as Chairman of EPIS. Alongside this, after completing a Law degree at Leiden University, he is finalizing his legal training as a law clerk at the Regional Court of Baden-Baden. Currently, he works as a consultant in a Munich-based family office.
