The first edition of TECHConnect – Technology Transfer Festival takes place between October 7 and 9 in Brașov, Sibiu, and Târgu Mureș.

Founder and CEO of Futurity Systems, a Harvard University graduate and included by Forbes in the “40 Futurists” top, Cecilia will open the day on October 9 in Brașov with the presentation “Rigorously Imaginative: How to Design Better Futures”.

Her central message is that “future design” is not science fiction, but a real social infrastructure that helps communities and organizations cope with the changes ahead. Through Futurity Systems, Cecilia offers companies and governments “futures-as-a-service” services to build effective scenarios and strategies in a faster and more collaborative way.

The audience will discover how ideas and scenarios about the future can be transformed into concrete tools for innovation and strategic decisions.

TECHConnect – the Technology Transfer Festival – aims to bring academia and business closer together. The event brings together researchers, investors, companies and authorities, focusing on the valorization of research results and their application on the market.

During the three days, participants will be able to take part in matchmaking sessions between industry and research, presentations of prototypes and innovative solutions, brokerage meetings for the exchange of contacts and opportunities, as well as visits to research and development infrastructures.

The festival aims to create a framework for collaboration between universities and the industrial environment in Brașov, Sibiu, and Târgu Mureș, to transform innovations into real solutions, with economic and social impact.
