Dear Readers,
Europe finds itself in the midst of yet another crisis before the previous one has even been resolved. While Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues and hopes for peace fade into uncertainty, large-scale strikes between Israel and Iran are further destabilizing the region, and Europe along with it. In today’s interconnected world and evolving geopolitical landscape, isolated crises have become rare. Instead, we now face cascading events where one conflict triggers another. As a result, Europe can no longer afford to keep its energy turned inward.
In navigating these turbulent times, it’s crucial not to view events in stark black-and-white terms. Embracing the grey areas allows us to see complexity and nuance. At PulseZ, we’re committed to amplifying this pluralism, highlighting Europe’s diverse voices, perspectives, and energies through fresh and innovative formats.
Beginning this month, we are expanding our multimedia offerings. You can expect to see more videos, podcasts, and gamified content.
Inclusivity has been one of our core principles since day one. But what does that mean in practice? It means creating a space for those who may not feel comfortable expressing themselves in English but who still have stories that matter. Now, anyone can read and contribute original content in multiple languages, bringing PulseZ even closer to the people it’s meant to serve. Thanks to the tremendous efforts of our team, the #PulseZ platform is now available in seven additional languages: Romanian, French, Dutch, Slovak, Italian, Polish, and German, alongside English.
Another key step forward is our commitment to engaging young people through on-the-ground activities. We’re hosting local events in Portugal, France, Belgium, and Greece and more, aiming to connect with youth directly and hear their voices up close.
To support this goal, with the lead of JA Europe and YMCA, we’ve launched the PulseZ Third-Party Support – Call for Proposals. This initiative allows you to organize your own local events with the opportunity to receive financial backing. Our aim is to involve over 3,000 young people from more than 20 EU countries as content contributors, and to reach more than 500,000 people through our communications efforts. You can find more information and application details via this link.
Having completed a successful first six months, PulseZ is now entering a new and critical phase. Our team is growing, our momentum is building, and our vision is clearer than ever. In the months ahead, you can look forward to more workshops, webinars, compelling stories, and next-level content. With your energy and engagement, we’re raising our voice and as Editor-in-Chief, we are excited to share more of our own writing and content with you.
Stay with us. There’s much more to come.
