Hi! My name is Niya and I’m a part of The Future Now Association, a Bulgarian youth NGO. We’re sharing some stories from our recent adventures, so feel free to find also other materials from other authors, all labeled TFN stories.
I’m going to share about an event, which happened in Sofia, called “Placemaking connected youth”.
Of course young people are everywhere, but in the event “Placemaking connected youth” we talked about how do we create places and spaces where they can create, connect and thrive. The event hosted many young people form all across Bulgaria and also from different countries.
We were honored to be among other organizations, working with young people and together with the youngsters to discuss, network and create. The guest lecturers shared some amazing advice like for example how important is it to pay attention to the introverts in the team and how to create a safe space for them to share their ideas and suggestions. We also heard home really inspirational stories about the strength of the community and power of creativity and art. Our lecturer form Thessaloniki shared the whole process form a single idea to a full community involved project.
