A few years ago, Jes\u00fas Ortiz never imagined his life would change so drastically. A new life in Norway: stability and security<\/b><\/h3>\n

Relocating to another country isn\u2019t easy, but with <\/span>financial and logistical support from EURES, Jes\u00fas and his family made a smooth transition to Norway. The program helped with moving costs and integration support, ensuring they could settle in without unnecessary stress.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI never expected EURES to help me so much,\u201d Jes\u00fas says. \u201cThey not only supported me but also my wife and daughter\u2014both financially and logistically.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Three years later, Jes\u00fas has no regrets.\u00a0<\/span>\u201cMy life has improved 100%. I have everything I need: my family, a great job, security, and stability. For the first time in years, I sleep peacefully at night.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme is designed to <\/span>support both job seekers and employers<\/b> facing labour shortages. The program helps:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Fill labour shortages<\/b> in key industries.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Promote fair employment<\/b> and decent working conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Employers Benefit Too<\/b><\/h3>\n

    EURES TMS doesn\u2019t just help job seekers\u2014it also supports employers who need skilled workers from abroad. This is especially valuable in industries facing workforce shortages.<\/span><\/p>\n

    That\u2019s exactly how Connect Bus found Jes\u00fas. The company\u2019s representative, Marit Selmer, highlights how EURES helped them recruit around 70 drivers from across Europe.<\/p>\n

    \u201cOur company is like a mini-Europe,\u201d says Selmer. \u201cWe offer stable employment, full-time contracts, and good working conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Small and medium-sized enterprises can even apply for funding to support the training and integration of new employees. The only requirement? Employment contracts must last at least six months for jobs or apprenticeships, and three months for internships.<\/p>\n

    Jes\u00fas\u2019 experience isn\u2019t unique. EURES advisors report that more and more people, especially in countries with high unemployment, are using the program to find work abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u201cJes\u00fas is a perfect example of someone who struggled to find a job at home but succeeded through EURES TMS,\u201d says Bernadette Greco, an EURES advisor from Italy.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Christine Utheim, a Norwegian EURES advisor, adds:\u00a0<\/span>\u201cTMS doesn\u2019t just help workers\u2014it also provides a solution for businesses that need skilled professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n
